About the role

We have an opportunity for a fixed term position within the Commissioning Finance Team.

The post holder willsupport the Senior Finance Colleagues and Finance Managers in the provision of management accounts by achieving the following:

• Providing accurate financial data and information relating to the services that are commissioned by NHS Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group;
• Using historic and other relevant information, provide robust forecast outturn;
• Financial Projections;
• Be responsible for working with the Finance Managers in quantifying and evaluating the options in respect of service reconfigurations, developments and realignments; and
• Assist in the continuous review and development of processes and reporting standards

About you

Requirements for the role:

• Certificate Level/Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) member or equivalent experience to a degree level.
• Use professional knowledge and expertise acquired through formal qualification and work-based experience plus participating in Continuing Professional Development.
• Have analytical skills for preparing financial analysis, forecasting and performance reviews.
• Ability to use a wide range of IT skills to present and communicate information effectively.
• Substantial experience of working in a financial management environment.
• Awareness of accounting policies and standards.
• Use of analytical skills to recognise trends/anomalies and take necessary action.
• Ability to convert large quantities of data into meaningful information.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply operational policies and procedures.
