Legally Hired Professionals Hiring for Law Firm Controller / Finance Director Job at Lynchburg, VA Full Time

Legally Hired Professionals, Inc. (“LHP”) is seeking an experienced Controller / Finance Director for a large reputable law firm in Roanoke, VA. The candidate will supervise accounting staff, oversee internal controls, provide financial reports, handle payroll, and other financial management tasks.

Qualifications:

· College degree required.

· Manager experience required.

Responsibilities:

· Directing financial planning and strategy

· Supervision of the operations of the Accounting Department, regarding personnel, equipment, forms, and all other related matters.

· Compilation of financial reports and materials for the Finance Committee, Executive Director, Compensation Committee, and Principals – Timekeeper statistics, Altman Weil, Compensation figures, Highest billed clients, etc.

· Entering of new timekeepers into the Elite System and closing out the ones leaving.

· Interaction with Attorneys and Clients re complaints, billing problems, collection problems, and bill payments, write-offs, etc.

· Signing of general account daily checks (10,000 and under).

· Interaction with Elite along with MIS Director re: updates to Elite System, and new software to be added to or needed on the system.

· Gathering of information for the Firm’s accountants.

· Reconciliation of bank statements for outlying offices.

· Gathering information from various managers, compiling it, and presenting same to Finance Committee for approval. Making revisions as needed, and after approval, input the figures into the Elite System.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
