We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to come and join our Finance Team at BPAS.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for the development of BPAS management reporting, planning and analysis and will work with Head Office and Operational Managers on budgetary control.

About the role:

You will co-ordinate with the Transactional Accounts team to produce the monthly management accounts and will create new reports using data analysis skills to generate routine and easy to understand management information so that opportunities can be identified to improve customer service and cashflow.

Typical day to day duties include:

• Develop the reporting of the 3 key operational metrics which include activity, staffing and waiting times with the Operational Managers.
• Work with the Transactional Finance team to enable clearer and more efficient financial reporting.
• Analyse the IT digital strategy project expenditure, both capital and ongoing revenue costs, with project managers.
• Develop rigorous stock accounting with the Procurement and Logistics team as a new warehouse management and stock control system is implemented.
• Working with HR and IT project teams to ensure that people costs are recorded correctly as new software with new ways of working are implemented.
• Develop excel models for budgeting and forecasting to incorporate new projects and risks to current contracts.

About You:

You’ll be a newly or Part Qualified Accountant, preferably with CIMA but not essential with good commercial awareness. You’ll be someone who enjoys communicating at all levels of an organisation and can work on your own initiative to complete financial tasks in a timely manner.

You will bring;

• Experience of not-for-profit organisations
• Able to present figures and numbers visually to non-finance related staff.
• Excellent Excel skills (including pivots, SUMIFs etc.) and some experience of modelling.
• Good attention to detail and a self-motivator
• Enthusiastic team player

Further Information

Salary: £31,226 to £40,069 per annum depending upon skills and experience.

Working Pattern: 36 hours per week | Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-3.30pm

Location: Home based or hybrid working – Can be flexible depending on candidate preference.

Study Support: Study support will also be provided to the successful candidate if part qualified.
