About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic finance graduate or experience financial administration person who will report to Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for Effectively manage and prioritise correspondence, reporting and presentations within the Council’s Finance Unit. You will have strong organisation skills and be comfortable working withing finance and accounting to assist with tracking work and outputs for the Finance Unit’s objectives.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Effectively manage and prioritise the CFO’s calendar and cadence of meetings to optimise the CFO’s time and impact.
• Assist the CFO in managing correspondence (email and phone) to maintain the visibility, accessibility, and responsiveness of the CFO to internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce high-quality correspondence, presentations, and reports both of a general and confidential nature.
• Proofreads/reviews; edit a range of CFO communications; the compilation of CFO reports and other ad-hoc reports and documents. Prepare CFO briefing documents and outgoing mail as necessary.
• Provide comprehensive administrative support during meetings including taking detailed minutes; updating action lists/project plans; timely circulation and ensuring actions are followed up.

About the Person

The successful candidate should have previous experience of 5+ years In Administration and a tertiary qualification. It would be preferred but not essential for applicants to have experience in working in finance.

• Advanced MS Suite skills, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint and Excel.
• Well-developed administration and organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.

We are offering an attractive salary from $72,773.49 to $80,143.51 p.a. plus Superannuation. City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which can be accessed by the successful candidate.
