Hours: Monday to Friday (9:00 to 17:00)

Working Title: Warehouse Shipper and Receiver

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Contribute to the shipping/receiving, material handling, distribution and storage of materials, supplies and products in a safe and efficient manner in a warehouse environment that is compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), government regulations and customer’s expectations.

JOB DUTIES AND TASKS

1. Receive deliveries in the warehouse

-Checks and verifies orders against paper or computer records
-Logging and verifying all in bound shipments for material identity, quantity and any damage.
-Ensures goods are received in accordance with organizational practices, policies and customer requirements
-Oversee loading and unloading of materials from trucks
-Liaison with co-workers as needed to co-ordinate the movement of goods into and out of the warehouse

2. Prepare pallets for shipment

-Prepare products for shipping ie., pulling, stacking, labelling and staging
-Ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately, including preparing shipping documentation, i.e. waybills and customs papers;
-Determine best method of shipment and prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents as required

3. Perform other related duties

-Ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately, including preparing shipping documentation
-Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Company Health and Safety policies
-Operate forklifts and low lift pallet jacks safely and efficiently;
-Verify pallets for accuracy;
-Load and organize pallets;
-Accountable for ensuring correct pallet location.
-Tracking shipments as needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCEED

• 1 to 2 years of equivalent experience
• Ability to operate forklift safely and efficiently
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues
• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25kg (55lbs)
• Pass a criminal record check

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21.50 per hour
