Salary: £44,000-£50,000 (depending on experience) plus excellent benefits

About Workbridge

Workbridge is an education centre that is part of St Andrew’s Healthcare. It provides education services and a vocational recovery pathway for people with mental illness, learning disabilities, ASD and brain injuries, in which they can gain valuable vocational skills and build confidence. Our valued service users comprise of adults with complex mental health needs who either reside at St Andrew’s Healthcare, or who live in the community with their families, carers or independently.

Your role with us

This is a brand new role that provides a unique opportunity to innovate and make a tremendous difference to a learner’s life. You will be responsible for the development, implementation and review of the vision and strategy for Workbridge. You will be responsible for the quality of education services delivered by Workbridge and be accountable for the overall curriculum design, delivery and evaluation of all vocational skills programmes to support our learners in their recovery, everyday life and their preparation for work.

Working collaboratively to develop an expert team, you will have a passion for inclusion and a drive to ensure everyone has access to learning and can achieve their potential. Being creative in person centred curriculum design and the delivery and evaluation of vocational skills programmes to support learners in their recovery, everyday life and prepare them for work will be key to your success.

A bit more about you

You will have relevant qualifications and experience in adult education and curriculum design for a wide range of vocational qualifications. You will have a proven track record of working with adults who live with mental illness or have special educational needs to deliver successful employability programmes. You will be an inspirational leader who is driven by achieving positive outcomes and comfortable leading teams through significant change. An excellent communicator, you will be accustomed to making connections and building strong internal and external networks. You will be expected to have a good knowledge of recovery and wellbeing in mental health and the ability to apply this through your work in an educational context.
