About the role:

Our new Finance Analyst will use their operational knowledge along with their technical accounting and system skills to produce accurate information within the required timeframe to ensure that all deadlines and reporting requirements are met with minimum supervision.

The Finance Analyst will be required to perform their duties under the guidance and direction of the Projects & Infrastructure Finance Manager and will be a trusted advisor/partner to the Projects & Infrastructure Finance Manager and the Projects & Infrastructure leadership team.

The Finance Analyst is expected to be an active member and supporter of the teams.

This is a hybrid role and will have you working in the office approximately 3 days a week and two at home.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing operational and financial insight to all relevant stakeholders through the identification and analysis of the key business drivers, while ensuring accurate and efficient reporting methods.
• Co-ordinating information to support monthly reporting, forecast and budget processes.
• Preparing the annual consolidated budget for Projects & Infrastructure business unit.
• Co-ordinating with operational finance managers to ensure all budgets are completed in a consistent manner.
• Providing analysis and validation of the consolidated budgets to ensure a robust result.
• Providing finance support to each of Zinfra’s corporate functions.
• Meeting monthly with functional managers to provide analysis on financial results of respective areas.
• Highlighting deficiencies in current processes and provide methodologies for improvement.
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations for P&I business units.
• Ensuring open items on the balance sheet reconciliations are dealt by the relevant finance team members in a timely manner.
• Maintain the financial models and prepare the regular financial reports for Projects businesses.
• Prepare monthly business report (MBR) by WD6 of each month.

About you:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g., Business, Commerce, Finance.
• Post Graduate qualification (CA / CPA).
• Strong understanding of SAP and BI (Business Objects and BPC) and Power PI.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in BI & SAP systems (preferably incl. FI/CO/CATS/PS/HR/PM, etc).
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling skills are essential.
• Knowledge of energy sector / utilities construction and maintenance preferable
• Demonstrated ability to understand strategic finance issues within a large and complex construction and maintenance business.
• Experience of complex budgeting and forecasting within a large organisation
