POSITION OVERVIEW:

This Financial Coordinator position is focused on all aspects of bookkeeping, including A/R, A/P, and G/L. This position reports to the Practice Administrator and works alongside a part-time Bookkeeper who assists with credit card reconciliation, daily entries etc.

High-level Details of the Position:

Bank Reconciliation:

• Prepare & Manage Bank Deposit
• Bank Reconciliation
• Monitor and facilitate inter-company bank transfers as needed
• Record EFT activity

A/P, A/R, G/L Details:

• Manage Accounts Payable invoices, including data entry
• Check Printing
• Issues payments to vendors as approved
• Pay Credit Card bills online or by phone
• Enter charges into General Ledger from EMR system
• Revenue entries to accounting software

Support HR Functions: *Payroll is calculated and processed by Practice Administrator

• Calculate MedSpa Staff Commissions
• Record employee HRA and FSA benefits activity
• Payroll Journal Entry
• Workers’ Comp audit

Offsite Biller:

• Scan insurance payments to Offsite Biller

401(k) Support:

• Facilitate 401(k) payment to financial planners
• Profit Sharing payment to Empower

MN Care & Sales Tax:

• Calculate and pay MN care and Sales tax
• File MN Care Tax

Reporting:

• Month-end journal entries
• Run, analyze and distribution financial statements

Patient Financing:

• Manage Care Credit reconciliation

Work Alongside Accountant:

• Inform Accountant of Fixed Asset Purchases
• Journal entries to update depreciation

Annual Projects:

• Assist Practice Administrator with MN Depart of Health Freestanding Outpatient Surgery Center report

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Extensive experience using accounting software such as Sage 100.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of broad bookkeeping experience including A/R, A/P, General Ledger, and

Payroll.

• Associate degree in Business with an Emphasis in Accounting required, Bachelors degree preferred
• Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills and understanding of financial reports: Profit & Loss, Balance

Sheet, and Cash Flow.
