Job Title: Portfolio Investment Analyst
Prosperity is seeking a highly motivated Portfolio Investment Analyst/Associate to join the fast-growing, highly sophisticated Asset Management business of Prosperity Life Insurance Group, a multi-billion-dollar company that is privately held by a top-tier, multi-strategy investment firm. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, a deep interest in investing and a desire to focus on Structured Products and Private Investments.
Major Duties and Responsibilities of the Portfolio Investment Analyst/Associate:
– Work closely with teammates to conduct in-depth fundamental and market analysis and due diligence on a variety of structured public and private investments
– Start as an investment generalist with the goal of developing domain expertise and specialization(s) over time
– Build and maintain financial models used for investment analysis and reporting
– Assist in on-going portfolio surveillance and operational needs
– Assist in developing and maintaining external relationships with broker/dealers to source and facilitate investments
– Support business growth initiatives, including acquisition activity and internal reporting
Qualifications of the Portfolio Investment Analyst/Associate:
– 2-5 years of relevant work experience in sales and trading, banking or investing
– Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record
– Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
– Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset and desire to work with a lean and growing team
– Ability to work efficiently both in a team setting, and independently with minimal supervision
– Ability to multitask, perform under pressure and meet deadlines
– Effective communication (written & verbal) and relationship building skills
– Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
– Some technical experience (programming or excel macros) is a plus, but not required
