Job Summary
Provides a service navigation role for Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service- Child and Family Clinic. The Intake Worker triages all referrals, responds to all inquiries and processes referrals for smooth admission or redirection to the appropriate program. Acts as a resource to the community regarding service options and fields all inquiries regarding children, youth with mental health challenges, with the goal of streamlining access to Child and Family Clinic at Southlake Regional Health Centre. Records, manages and reports on all referral and Intake activity in the department, addresses gridlock and impediments in the system, and works effectively with both external and internal stakeholders. Provides brief interventions to families as needed.
