Cambridgeshire County Council Hiring for 0-25 Area Education Officer (SEND) Job at Forest Hall, England Full Time

This role is based at Alconbury Weald (north of Huntingdon).

Grade P3 on the Council’s Professional and Management Pay Scale £43,597 – £46,875

We are seeking to appoint a manager with excellent communication, negotiation and project management skills to join a team of officers whose role is to plan and review education and childcare provision in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough for children and young people in the 0-25 age range.

The specific focus of this post is on identifying, leading and co-ordinating the timely delivery of education planning and review projects, including the commissioning of new provision, serving children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the 0-25 age range to ensure that both Local Authorities maintain an appropriate match between pupil numbers and places across their respective geographical areas.

Applicants need to be educated to degree level, or equivalent and be able to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of Local Authorities’ statutory duties and the legislative framework governing educational provision for children and young people with SEND.

Interviews to be held on Tuesday, 4 January 2022 at the Bernard Sunley Centre, Papworth Everard, Cambridgeshire. Contingency arrangements will be made to hold the interviews remotely via Microsoft Teams if this proves necessary because of restrictions associated with Covid. You will be required to complete a written exercise on the day and to deliver a short presentation as part of the selection interview process.
