POSITION SUMMARY:

The Underwriting Technician demonstrates the technical ability and knowledge to create value for clients and fellow team members. Enjoyment of a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment is required. As a point of contact for clients, you will be responsible for furthering our goal to be helpful and provide industry leading service. You will be responsible for evaluating insurance coverage, assessing client needs, and supporting agency Insurance Advisors. The willingness & desire to learn multiple lines of insurance coverage is required.

TIME FRAME:
The position is available for an immediate start date.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze insurance policies/Coverage Options
• Be a consistent/reliable point of contact for clients and prospects
• Monitor and respond to incoming emails (primary means of internal & external communication) and phone calls for new business & service requests.
• Commitment to continuing education, professional growth and development
• Process policy change requests
• Provide certificates of insurance
• Accept policy payment
• Maintenance of Applied Epic Management System and Document Management System
• Maintain professional attitude, stability and tolerance in multi-task, time-critical environment.
• Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients including professionally written, concise and clear email communications
• Provide timely response to client inquiries and requests
• Help to develop or improve agency process and workflows
• Manage and prioritize workload in accordance with our agency standards
• Ability to handle multiple priorities including unexpected client requests

REQUIREMENTS:
Job Type: Full-time
Required education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
Required experience: 1 year professional experience preferred

Required license or certification:
Successful completion of Property and casualty license exam & Texas Life & Health exam for continued employment. We will pay for license exam prep as necessary.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
