Imperial Distributors, Inc Hiring for ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST Job at Worcester, MA Full Time

This role will process inventory invoices for payment to our vendor partners, specifically the manufacturers of our product, all the while developing relationships with those who represent the receivables side of these vendor partners.

Responsibilities Include:

• Audit and process inventory invoices, including the verification of item description, correct pricing, quantities, and payment terms
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies through communication with Vendors, Category Management, Procurement, Receiving Supervisor, and others as needed
• Perform the appropriate research and recommend and obtain approval for pay back to vendors.
• Process payments to customers and miscellaneous deductions from vendors

Education and/or experience:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 4 years of Accounts Payable experience

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments and responsibilities
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Team oriented with a positive attitude
• Strong PC Skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Physical requirements:

• Physical ability to safely perform job functions with or without aid of mechanical equipment
• Ability to exert up to 10-15 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to pick up and move objects
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach
• Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient to typing, filing and perform other administrative job functions (type, email, etc.)
