Foresee eyecare Hiring for Optometric Assistant at Vaughan, ON Full Time

Foresee Eyecare is expanding and we’re looking to hire a friendly and motivated full-time, permanent Optometric assistant or experienced Optical Sales Associate to join our growing dispensing team!

We are an established, family-oriented optometry practice that is committed to helping patients from babies to adults to seniors maintain healthy eyes and clear vision. In addition to routine eye care, we also provide specialty contact lens fittings, vision therapy, and myopia management. The work hours are Monday and Wednesday 9am-6pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am-7pm, and Saturdays 10am-4pm. We are closed for some Saturdays that fall on a long weekend.

Your duties will include:

– Assisting patients with frame selection, styling, fitting, lens selection, and measurements for eyeglasses

– Dispensing, adjusting and repairing eyeglasses

– Ordering, receiving and quality control of products

– Educating patients on proper eyewear and/or contact lens use

– Teaching patients about the insertion and removal of soft contact lenses, scleral lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses, and orthokeratology lenses

– Troubleshooting and problem solving eyewear concerns to ensure patient satisfaction

The ideal candidate is:

– Experienced in optical dispensing

– Energetic and passionate about customer experience

– Strong with their organization and time management skills in a retail environment

– Detail-oriented

– Adaptable, flexible and works well in a team environment

– Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and can place orders online
