Resturaunt Hiring for Accountant Job at American Fork, UT Full Time

A locally owned and operated restaurant chain is looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our corporate team as an accountant. This person needs to be professional and hard-working, and willing to look outside the box. The right candidate will have the opportunity to move into a management role as we expand our corporate team long-term.

Accountant duties may include:

• Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements

• Maintains accounting processes

• Aids in the analyzes of weekly sales data.

• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconciling accounts

• Prepare payments by accruing expenses, assigning account numbers, requesting disbursements, reconciling accounts

• Develops and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current processes and recommending changes

• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data

• Provide general support to the controller and management team

• Enter data into accounting software, including invoices, credit purchases, payroll, inventory counts, and bank transactions

• Perform bank reconciliations

• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices

• Any other duties and support required by the manager

Position Requirements

• Associates degree or higher in related field

• 1 to 2 years experience in accounting/bookkeeping

• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Helpful

• Proficiency in Excel preferred
