Ironwood Maine Hiring for Residential Mentor Job at Morrill, ME Full Time

Ironwood is a strength-based, year-round therapeutic boarding school for bright and engaging teens who are struggling with a variety of social, emotional, and educational issues.

Residential Mentors supervise and emotionally support students, as well as oversee on and off campus activities including physical education, community service, life skills and managing campus responsibilities like meal prep, animal care, laundry, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision that supports physical and emotional safety
• Plan and support activities that engage students, often by planning with them
• Support healthy life choices in the milieu and in their home environments
• Collaborate with other Residential Staff, Counseling Team, Academic Team, and Administrative staff
• Utilize strength-based approaches and authoritative parenting style to support overall individual student growth and potential
• Support the transfer of knowledge from Ironwood to the home environment
• Reporting any pertinent information to supervisor and clinical staff

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $35,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
