Position Summary
A superb opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and ambitious individual to join our Finance team. As the Procurement Analyst you will support the Procurement Organisation and COGS team on the day to day understanding of raw and packing material prices as well as on the long term strategic view. Providing visibility around costs related to the Procurement processes through driving relevant analysis and reporting. The role comes with line manager responsibility.

A day in the life of a Procurement Analyst
You will work closely with the Procurement team and Procurement Controller, to ensure the sharing and adoption of best practice. The role will include monitoring price variance and direct spend/ saving versus Dynamic Forecasts, ensuring accurate and reliable forecast information is readily available to key stakeholders. As part of the role you will have responsibility for Budget Planning, analysis and input into the annual standard cost budget for the factories ensuring compliance with Nestlé Accounting Standards and all other guidelines issued. You will be required to ensure the integrity of the costs and perform reasonableness checks on the budget for accuracy.
In addition to this you will:
  • Manage and coordinate the preparation of the monthly material price dynamic forecast (DF), including key stakeholders across Procurement and Nestrade. Ensure all Risks and Opportunities arising are aligned with Business Management and finance Co-Pilots.
  • Feed the monthly DF into the budget (ACE) and quarterly Transfer Pricing (TPs).
  • Provide a responsive & effective new product cost service up to and including export transfer pricing.
  • Provide technical financial analysis support and advice to customers and factory operations.
  • Co-ordinate finance performance reporting at Procurement, Factory, Divisional & Corporate level.
  • Ensure timeliness, data integrity and compliance with the Nestlé Accounting Standards.
  • Interpretation & identification of potential issues and record trends to provide 2nd level support to Procurement Controller/ Divisional Analysts.
What will make you successful
To be successful ideally, you’ll have your accountancy qualification, you’ll be able to demonstrate fantastic communication and influencing skills across a range of different stakeholder levels whilst being able to challenge the status quo when needed. You’ll be highly skilled with SAP and Microsoft Excel including large datasets. You’ll have the ability to train coach and develop team members. Having a curious approach to everything you do, a tenacity to succeed and an ability to understand how you impact the wider business performance are all essential for this role.
