Civil Structural Engineer

First People Solutions is recruiting for a successful Consulting Engineering firm in the centre of Edinburgh. Due to their current workload they require an ambitious Engineer to lead the Structural Team and delivery success within their current workload in Building Structures. They are busy working on a broad range of projects in several sectors including a great deal of work in the Education, Commercial and Leisure sectors.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone with strong technical experience from an established Consulting Engineer; proficient in the design of building structures, diverse experience working on a range of sectors and the desire to become a chartered Engineer.

Your experience, background and approach to work will include:

• 3-5 years of professional experience as a Structural Engineer
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered Engineer preferred or close to
• Conversant in industry relevant software
• Extensive experience undertaking the design and project management of structural engineering projects
• Strong understanding of building regulations, health & safety procedures and the production of structural designs.
• Clean drivers licence
