Assistant Accountant | BRAS N THINGS | ALEXANDRIA

We are looking for our new BNT Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Accountant in a fast paced and rapidly expanding business. A highly collaborative role, with responsibilities of reconciling balance sheets, P&L accounts and assisting our BNT stores with all finance related matters.

A day in the life of …

You’ll need to be someone who is keen to learn and can hit the ground running. We need this person to jump in and support the finance team by picking up a range of tasks including:

Collating monthly financial pack for Senior Leadership Team

Accurate financial reporting including raising journals and month end process

Assisting with Audit/Tax

Ensure accounting requirement deadlines and KPIs are met

Complete daily/late banking reports

EOM cashflow forecasts

Process improvement and ideas

What experience do I have?

CA qualified – audit training highly desirable

Proven financial accounting skills – you have to know your debits and credits!

Commercial experience in a large, complex organisation, desirable

Strong time management with an ability to prioritise

A naturally curious problem solver

Must have excellent attention to detail

Performance focused

Positive, go-getter attitude

Ability to collaborate and communicate with all areas of the business

Advanced excel knowledge– pivot tables, v look ups and more
