The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic administrator passionate about providing a sensational people experience for our teams and looking to launch their career in HR.

Reporting to the People & Culture Director based in Australia, you will play a key role in coordinating all onboarding activities for our new recruits, assisting with our hiring, as well as owning the management of our brand new HRIS.

You will work closely with our Recruiter and People & Culture Coordinator (both located in Toronto) and will be the first point of contact for most general people enquiries from our teams based around the world.

In this highly varied entry-level position, you will also be that go-to person for our Executive and other Leaders to help organise social events, provide administration support both remotely and in our Downtown Toronto office, as well as lend a hand with other people initiatives, including training.

You’re a problem-solver and have what it takes to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, while always delivering exceptional customer service across our business.

This is high-impact position with plenty of scope to build your HR skills and knowledge from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities*

• Own the management and ongoing maintenance of our brand new HRIS, including accurately updating employment data and employee files to ensure regular and compliant record keeping
• Lead all onboarding and offboarding activities, including conducting reference checks, coordinating the supply of IT equipment and company swag, and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders
• Generate documents, agreements, forms and files related to HR administration
• Represent the People & Culture team as the first point of contact for our people by troubleshooting general queries (eg. related to leave entitlements, technical system queries and adhoc onboarding/offboarding requests)
• Support the People & Culture team to deliver various people initiatives, which may include recruitment, training and other projects
• Provide administration support to the Executive and other leaders, including organising events, booking travel, ordering office supplies, and completing some basic finance tasks (eg. expense claims and credit card reconciliation)

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field and/or 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar Human Resources role
• Prior experience/proficiency working with or leading HRIS & ATS software
• First-class organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• A strong sense of urgency with the ability to deliver results in a timely manner
• An ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
