Finance Associate – Boston MA
A highly successful, Boston based Private Equity firm that invests in software, digital commerce, FinTech and healthcare companies is looking to hire a Finance Associate. Reporting to the Controller and CFO, the Finance Associate will be responsible for managing the daily activities related to private equity fund, co-invest, and GP finance & accounting.

• Remote until January 2022

Responsibilities:

• Fund Accounting
  • Reconcile Fund and GP bank accounts
  • Draft wire transfers
  • Prepare weekly fund position reports
  • Prepare quarterly reconciliation of custody statements
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements and work papers for PE funds and co-invest vehicles
  • Calculate quarterly Net IRR’s
  • Reconcile GP activity quarterly
• Portfolio Investments
  • Work with the Assistant Controller on portfolio company reporting using iLevel
  • Calculate portfolio company IRR’s
  • Assist with closings
  • Work with Compliance Manager and Tax Manager on required fillings/tax inquires
• Limited Partners
  • Prepare draft responses to limited partner requests for information
  • Assist with preparation of financial information for the firm’s Annual Meeting, Advisory Committee Meeting, and other marketing materials
  • Work on special projects, compiling data, and preparing various schedules as requested by the CFO, Controller or Managing Directors
  • Support Finance Team IR projects on ad hoc basis

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of financial/accounting experience in a public accounting, private equity or investment firm
• BA/BS requited
• Knowledge of GAPP and partnership accounting
• Partnership tax is a plus
