Job Description: Vice President of Finance

Summary of position: The Vice President of Finance is responsible to oversee all financial aspects of the business and drive the company’s financial strategy and planning. The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for all financial systems, internal controls, and financial reporting. Oversee all operational accounting aspects, including accounts payable, general ledger and financial reporting. Directly accountable to the COO and CEO for the performance of all responsibilities related to financial management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and the preparation of operating data and reports as required for monthly and quarterly requirements, including interim and year-end financial statements.

• Maintain the company’s system of accounts and records on all company transactions and assets.

• Establish, coordinate, and administer as an integral part of financial management, an adequate plan for the control of financial operations including programs for financing, capital investing and sales forecasts, expense budgets, together with necessary controls and procedures to effectuate the plan.

• Compare performance with operating plans and standards, and report and interpret the results of operations.

• Monitor expenditures, revenue and use of company resources to manage the budget

• Provides leadership and coordination of Malbek’s annual budget
• Establish and administer tax policies and procedures. Assists with the provision of data to the

Company’s outside tax advisors on a quarterly basis as needed to project taxable income for the company and to identify tax planning strategies. Coordinates the preparation of year-end income tax returns for the companies with outside tax advisors.

• Oversee financial activities and reporting, including P&L, Balance Sheet and necessary reporting for monthly board meetings.

• Develop and implement accounting policies

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the CEO and COO.

Skills required:

• Solid understanding and training in all areas of accounting, including management and accounting for accounts receivable, accounts payable, maintenance of a general ledger, credit, collections, and inventory.

• Experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls, processing payroll, budgeting, and financial statements preparation and analysis.

• Seven or more years of financial management and accounting experience.
• Minimum BA/BS degree with Accounting emphasis
• Experience in the preparation and presentation of budgets and projections.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial accounting systems.
• Sound analytical ability, strong operational focus, and good judgement.
• Software Industry experience with subscription/recurring revenue model required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85.00 – $100.00 per hour
