The Opportunity

Monash HR is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to deliver an enhanced recruitment service beyond the offering provided by our core recruitment team. You will provide specialist advice in relation to the identification and acquisition of IT professional staff.

As a dedicated recruitment resource for the eSolutions division within the Chief Information Officer portfolio you will be a key conduit between the eSolutions division and our internal HR function, working collaboratively to bring world-class talent to Monash University’s eSolutions division. A key requirement of this role is to build broader and deeper candidate relationships across the IT sector to further develop sector experience, create and maintain an efficient candidate database by functionality, to create efficiencies in filling roles, including time-to-fill and fill rates of roles. You will be the go to person as our subject matter expert on IT recruitment across various specialisms.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for:

• Maximising the use and effectiveness of the application tracking systems (ATS) whilst maintaining compelling quality assurance and customer service
• Providing recommendations on suitable suppliers supported by research, data analysis and management of the use of search firms, by actively engaging with the market and ensure the experience delivered to clients and candidates is underpinned by excellence in customer service without compromise and in line with our minimum standard
• Maintaining a strong knowledge base of the IT sector and contributing to strategic workforce planning for all roles within the eSolutions division in particular succession planning, talent mapping as well as the technical recruitment of highly-specialised, critical roles to ensure Monash University remains on track to deliver IT milestones
• Developing and sustaining collaborative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and deliver consultative advice and services across acquisition, selection, appointment and onboarding activities
• Championing the University’s vision, values and brand through example setting in operational excellence, quality assurance and professional behaviour ensuring effective service delivery and team mentoring

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience in providing tactical recruitment solutions to varying and complex stakeholders using excellent relationship building skills
• Experience with creating and delivering innovative sourcing strategies to attract high calibre candidates with experience in translating this into strategic talent pipelining that align with workforce planning and organisational goals
• Proficiency in the use and management of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and the ability to devise sourcing strategies for potential applicants
• Proven experience in operating within a large complex environment to deliver effective recruitment strategies, including experience in management and delivery of all activities across acquisition, selection, appointment and onboarding of IT professional staff, with a focus on service delivery excellence
