Our client is a highly respected manufacturer and a major supplier of building hardware products to the commercial construction sector. They have grown substantially over the past 20 years and after a recent acquisition are now part of an iconic global organisation.

Due to steady growth and a recent restructure they are now seeking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to join their company in the Moorabbin area and oversee the day to day strategic and operational objectives on all aspects of the people and culture function for the organisation across Australia and New Zealand. This role will be a trusted business partner, providing end to end operational HR advice to business leaders, building positive and supportive relationships with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing and leading the transformation strategy focussing on key priorities including integration, change management activities, cultural alignment, building talent pipeline, succession and employee retention.
• Providing advice and coaching to management on complex employee relations matters, performance management, industrial relations/EBA negotiations, investigations and terminations.
• Managing and co-ordinating HR cyclical activities including talent, performance and development, employee engagement surveys, salary reviews and bonus programs.
• Supporting the embedding of the global HRIS system (GPS) regarding implementation of new modules including training and education.
• Managing and maintaining HRIS (SuccessFactors) for end-to-end employee lifecycle activities and supporting documentation.
• Work closely with the VP HR – Pacific & North-East Asia Division to support divisional global initiatives and projects.
• Travelling interstate/internationally may be required as necessary.

What you bring:

• Relevant work experience in a similar position in a large globally matrix corporate environment.
• Strong HR generalist and business partnering.
• Proven ability to draw out and communicate insight from data.
• Proficient in HRIS/Success Factors and Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to flex and balance between operational and strategic delivery.
• Working knowledge of local employment laws and regulations, and industrial relations.
• Degree qualified in Human Resource Management, Business or similar discipline.
