Payroll Manager

Job Summary: We are currently looking for a Payroll Manager to join our team in our corporate office in Norcross, Ga. This position is part of a Human Resource team in a small-sized, debt buying company. The Payroll Manager will oversee the various tasks in the payroll function. This position is responsible for processing company payroll on a regular basis. The successful candidate will emphasize a focused approach to daily task management, highly detail oriented and extremely accurate. He/she is well versed with payroll compliance, taxes and reporting.

Job Duties – The duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:

· Payroll Manager should oversee and direct payroll procedures.

· Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations.

· Maintain Paycom system by setting up new users at the company level.

· Maintain payroll processing schedule in Paycom for 2022 on 8 companies before year end.

· Maintain and rollover ACA rules and dates before be beginning of 2022 for 7 companies.

· Processes a semi-monthly/ weekly payroll in a timely manner. Understands how to process a manual check.

· Perform responsibilities within the HR group to ensure that benefits are compliant.

· Set-up new benefit plans during March 2022 for Open enrollment that is effective April 1st of each year.

· Initiate and maintain benefit deductions and ACA/1095 and other benefit reporting. Responsible for Open Enrollment Benefit Deduction reconciliation.

· Oversees tax filings in accordance with local and federal laws. Processes Quarter End / Year End.

· Accurately calculates monthly sales commissions and processes them through payroll. Works with CFO to verify commission amounts are accurate.

· Interpret and process employee garnishments and assist with garnishment agency and employee inquiries.

· Assist with issue research and resolution for payroll related matters.

· Run and distribute payroll system reports for accounting & HR

· Maintain a high level of accuracy regarding reviewing, editing and issue research to ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time

· Process stop payments, direct deposit reversals and off-cycle payments.

· Verify health and deferred comp benefit changes to payroll with provider admin reports.

Skills:

· Experience with Paycom Software payroll & HR systems REQUIRED.

· Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws.

· Strong organization skills with great attention to detail.

· Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.

• Able to work in an unstructured, remote team environment.

· Experience with payroll processing platform that includes exposure to benefits.

Qualifications:

• Documentation of at least two professional, educational or personal references that attest to

the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position

• Satisfactory preliminary criminal history background check determination and 10 panel drug screening

• College Degree in Accounting preferred and/or related major

• 2+ years Payroll & HR system experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
