An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of “Academic Skills Adviser” within Student Services at UWS. You will provide academic skills support to students of all levels and disciplines, contributing to student success and progression in line with University Strategies.

UWS’ Student Experience Programme facilitates an exceptional Student Journey and places an emphasis on student success. Academic Skills Advisers play a central role in the delivery of this strategy, also collaborating with University Schools and in planning delivery of academic skills support within the curriculum.

Educated to degree level, you will have significant experience of working in a student support/advisory capacity, supporting learners in Higher/Further Education; designing and delivering workshops and have knowledge of the use of assistive technology to promote inclusive learning strategies.

Self-motivated, you will have high level planning skills to organise and prioritise your workload and will contribute to the development of digital resources, contributing to the delivery of innovative student support models.
