Job Purpose and Impact

The UK Treasury Accounting & Finance team serves as the accounting hub for EMEA and NA Treasury activity. The breadth of activity that the team covers is extensive, ranging from Treasury P&L reconciliations to Cargill’s Long-Term Debt and Net Investment Hedge programmes, from management P&L reporting and analysis across the various Treasury product lines to corporate and statutory reporting requirements for the multiple legal entities the team is responsible for.

Responsibilities rotate across the team allowing you to gain broad experience of Treasury activities. The Treasury Accounting & Finance analyst will help establish and maintain our accounting policies and fiscal controls, helping prepare financial reports and safeguarding our organization’s assets. We seek a professional with knowledge of accounting principles and practices. In this role, you will help build accurate standard financial statements that comply with established requirements and policies. Key Accountabilities

• Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to classify and record financial transactions.
• Help maintain and monitor the control of accounts and records in areas such as disbursements, expenses, tax payments and income.
• Perform traditional general accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger.
• Draft segments of statements and begin to handle assignments involving data analysis.
• Ensure timely and accurate corporate and management reporting and analysis of business performance, such as explaining business results, providing variance analysis and foreign exchange and funding reporting, and performing forecasting and planning activities.
• Contribute input to new setup and changes in existing financial applications to optimize effectiveness and to standardize and improve business information provided to the Treasury group, internal businesses, and corporate finance teams.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Confirmed related work experience
