Queensland Government Hiring for Training Officer Job at Brisbane Full Time

Working as part of a busy Training Team within the DRB, the Training Officer works in consultation and under the supervision of the Training Manager undertaking the following responsibilities:

• Identifying learning and development opportunities and priorities in consultation with DRB’s internal and external clients and stakeholders (including DJAG clients, public sector agencies and NGOs).
• Developing and delivering training, professional development and education programs for the DRB’s internal and external clients and stakeholders:

o this includes fee-for-service options which generate revenue for the DRB;

o this includes creating positive learning experiences which cater for diverse audiences and stakeholders.

• Playing a leadership role as an adult educator in designing, developing, presenting, and evaluating training courses relating to topics such as: interpersonal communication; mediation; ADR; conflict management; negotiation; workplace coaching
• Producing high quality written materials relating to learning and development such as: learning and information resources; training presentations; training proposals; marketing collateral, reports.
• Undertaking marketing and promotional activities which supports DRB Brand recognition and course enrolments.
• Evaluating training participants’ skills levels and writing accurate reports regarding these levels.
• Works in collaboration with team members; casually employed trainers, coaches, and assessors; and, clients to meet training goals and objectives.
• Responds to training enquiries, and undertakes administrative tasks as required.
• Conducts other training, project work, and tasks as directed by the Training Manager

o This may include periodically undertaking relief duties (e.g. team support and supervisory roles) which contribute to the effective operation of the Training Team.
