Primary objective
Provide financial advice, accounting, administrative support and reporting to the Agency whilst ensuring integrity of
financial data and compliance with financial policies.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Actively contribute to the identification, development and implementation of various processes to support the
Finance Unit objectives.
2. Provide Electronic Invoice Management System (EIMS) services and Expense 8 Electronic Card Management System
verification processes for the Division.
3. Preparation of monthly financial reports for the Division including preparation of ad-hoc financial reports as
required.
4. Provide advice to the Division in regards to accounts receivable, accounts payable and general financial management
services.
5. Ledger management and data integrity, including account reconciliation and investigations.
6. Develop and maintain effective relationships within the agency, with providers and with external stakeholders to
resolve financial services queries.
7. Provide ongoing administrative support to the Business Support Officer – Movers and Office Services
Selection criteria
Essential
1. High standards of thoroughness, attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and files.
2. Demonstrated high standard of client focus and ability to undertake processes in accordance with agency policies,
protocols and standards.
3. High level written and oral communication skills including ability to negotiate and exercise initiative, discretion and
confidentiality.
4. Competence in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets and internal business systems.
5. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team and independently as required and to handle high volumes of
work, be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
Desirable
1. Knowledge of mainframe and accounting systems or similar.
2. Formal qualifications in Financial Management or equivalent work experience.
