Bakkavor Hiring for Finance Analyst – R&C Job at Sutton Bridge, England Full Time

Bakkavor is one of the leading providers of fresh prepared food in the UK, with an international presence in the US and China. In the UK, we work with leading grocery retailers, focusing on their own label brands.
Bakkavor Salads is based in Sutton Bridge and specialises in making prepared Bagged salad, Food To Go and leafy meal salads for major retailers. It employs over 500 people and forms part of the Bakkavor Salads sector in the UK.

The Role

As Finance Analyst, you will provide timely, informative performance reporting, analysis and commentary that is focussed on highlighting and explaining trends, key areas of interest and opportunities – allowing issues to be identified and corrective action to be taken.

In this busy and exciting role, you will assist with overhead & capital reporting and data analysis within the Finance business partnering team, as well as take a lead role in ensuring the Business’s legal & reporting requirements are met.

Accountabilities

Performance Reporting – Preparing periodic reports for review, submitting and circulating reports and preparing ad-hoc information for review (normally overhead/capital related)
Month End – Preparing and posting journals (normally overhead related), querying unexpected or unusual information and preparing balance sheet account reconciliations (normally overhead/capital related) for review
Control Environment – Applying the overhead and capital controls (e.g. Budgetary overspends, Capital expenditure) and escalating breaches to management
Group Requirements – Preparing information according to the guidelines issued by group (e.g. Monthly VAT Returns, Year End Tax Submissions)
Rolling Forecast – Providing information as required as part of the rolling forecast process, ensuring that information is accurate

IS and Business Processes – Maintaining the financial accounting systems (e.g. ERP, Fixed Asset Register) according to set procedures and escalating any issues

About you

Ideally you will have some exposure to a finance related role, with experience of overhead/capital reporting, analysis and use of ERP systems & fixed asset management.
