About the role

This is a six-month fixed-term role, with a high potential to extend, reporting into the Senior Manager Talent Acquisition.

You will partner closely with the HR Director and Senior Leadership team to pipeline and recruit top talent, both internal and external, whilst ensuring we provide an outstanding customer experience.

You will identify and create talent pipelines in line with planned business development objectives by providing high-level engagement with local candidates and stakeholders. You will also ensure that the Optus brand is positively positioned, as we continue to attract the right people into the right roles to meet the needs of the business, both now and in the future.

As part of the TA team, you will develop the sourcing plan and strategy for the division and work closely with Senior Leaders and the wider TA team to collaborate and deliver best practice recruitment services

Responsibilities

• Management of the end-to-end recruitment process primarily for Canberra based roles
• Identify candidates in both the internal and external market, provide qualified and quality shortlisted candidates back to the business
• Regular engagement through building a network and talent pipeline with high potential candidates to ensure Optus is considered an employer of choice
• Be a strategic partner working with executive managers to provide market mapping, talent insights, headhunting and consulting services

About You

• Demonstrable ability to recruit in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting goalposts.
• Outstanding relationship-building skills, capable of dealing with senior executives across a matrixed style organisation
• Significant recruitment experience working across a breadth of roles in an in-house, agency or RPO environment
• Proven track record of recruiting senior candidates across both technical and non-technical skills
• Identify, attract, assess, and select high calibre candidates and manage full-cycle recruitment process from advertising through to offer
• Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities and deliver results
• Solid communication skills, responsive and a consultative approach to partnering with the hiring managers and candidates
