This role offers the flexibility to work from home and out of 3 offices in Adelaide Metro – Cavin, Wakefield St and Plympton. With this position supporting functions across the contract, it can also be based in any one of our regional hub locations at Port Pirie, Claire, Port Augusta, Whyalla, Port Lincoln, Berri, Murray Bridge or Mount Gambier.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Ventia has been awarded the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA) for the Government of South Australia. We are now building our team to be ready to commence from 1 December 2021.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager, to drive and optimise the financial management of the 300-million-dollar AGFMA contract, including driving change within the contract to improve financial performance. You will have the opportunity to shape and develop a highly functioning finance team of Accountants and Finance Administrators. While the team is small, you also have access to the central Finance functions for ongoing growth and opportunity. With your demonstrated experience in leading financial roles, you will quickly become familiar with all aspects of the contract and its operations and be able to lead and represent the contract to staff and the client alike.

Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Overall accountability for the core finance activities and financial month end functions, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, forecasting and budgeting and financial analysis.
• Maintain the financial system architecture to ensure billing and reporting requirements are met.
• Provide guidance to the contract with regards to appropriate SAP setup for new work types.
• Eliminate waste wherever possible, including promoting the use of automation within processes.
• Implement strategies that drive a culture of responsible cost management within the contract.
• Ensure appropriate recording of costs within the contract to minimise revenue leakage.
• Build a strong high performing team, aligned to our purpose and enterprise strategic objectives and network across the Ventia Finance academy.
