What you will be doing and will be responsible for:

Reporting to the Managing Director this position will be responsible for the day-to-day financial coordination and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monthly management reporting using Xero and internal inventory control systems.
• Manage and control accounts receivable, customer credit applications.
• Manage and control accounts payable.
• Manage electronic payment systems.
• Process and control the day-to-day accounting transactions in relation to accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and the allocation of payments.
• Work closely with the external accountants to prepare monthly accounts.
• Follow up overdue payments.
• Co-ordinate with the external accountants for processing of payroll and year end reporting.
• Reconciliation, preparation and lodgement of monthly business activity statements (BAS), GST requirements via the ATO business portal.
• Assist in maintaining accurate systems and records.

• Experience using Xero (or relevant accounting system)- essential
• Exposure across a wide range of accounting functions (ie accounts receivable/payable and inventory).
• High level of attention to detail.
• Fast learner and ability to pick up new technologies/systems.
• Ability to solve problems / logical thinker.
• Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for workload.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader team.
• Advanced computer software skills including Word, Excel, Email & Google systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Exposure to the wine industry viewed favourably.
