The Opportunity
The Human Resources Division is presently accepting applications for the Full Time Temporary position of Animal Technician/Receptionist, with the Department of Community Services, Humane Services Division. This position will be effective from June 29, 2026 for an anticipated 2 months duration.

Receive all incoming calls and enter and retrieve computerized information on complaints and dispatch patrol units by prioritizing calls based on urgency of the incidents.

The successful applicant will be required to participate in all training programs applicable to this position and other related work. Qualifications
Applicants must have successfully graduated high school supplemented by a certificate from a recognized institution, in Animal Health Technology. Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum of three (3) years or more experience in an Animal Care/Control environment and must possess a good working knowledge of animal breeds, diseases and handling procedures. Applicants must be able to work independently; possess good interpersonal skills and demonstrate working knowledge of computer operations and applications, Microsoft Word and general office practices and procedures. Applicants must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License. Must be bondable.
