IMPAKT Housing & Support Hiring for Finance Assistant Job at Bedford, England Full Time

Salary – £20,000 – £25,500. FTE, depending on experience.
Part Time – 20 hours per week.
Location – Bedford – Bromham Road.

Job Purpose: To Support the Finance Officer in providing a quality accounting service, including the production of month end accounts, banking & cash handling and supplier payments.
Responsible to: Finance Officer
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
 Banking – prepare cash received for banking ensuring correct completion of paperwork.
 Petty Cash Control – ensuring the monitoring, replenishment and reconciliation of project petty cash facilities to Sage control accounts.
 Management of payables invoices and expenses and payment via the bacs payment process.
 Process weekly maintenance timesheet data, resolving queries and journaling to Sage.
 Monitor and control Supported Lodging payments schedule.
 Monitoring the Finance e-mail account, ensuring prompt processing of electronic correspondence.
 Filing of invoices and correspondence.
 Reconcile Bank accounts in a timely fashion at the end of each month ready for Finance Officer reports
 Raising journals under instruction from the Finance Officer to support month end process.
 Contribute to consistent management of quality service delivery through the Trusted Charity Mark methodology
 Support the Finance Manager in the distribution of monthly financial report packages.

 Support the Finance Manager in the maintenance of the cash flow reporting system.
 To undertake such duties and responsibilities as may be determined by the Employer from time to time, according to the needs of the Employer’s business.
