Our client is one of Perth’s leading accounting firms and has been around for more than 50 years. They are forward thinking, modern, flexible and family friendly and continue to be at the forefront of accounting in Western Australia.

They provide their clients with a broad range of business advisory tax and accounting services have embraced IT to enable them to evolve and meet the needs of their clients in today’s rapidly changing business environment. Their client base ranges from agribusiness, crayfishing and aquaculture, health and professional services, import and wholesale, manufacturing and construction to tourism and hospitality. Relationships in business are important and they seek to get to know their clients on a personal level so they can ensure their personal and financial goals are aligned.

Their Offices in Perth are bright spacious and open planned and are easy to get to via public transport or they offer discounted parking for those who prefer to drive. The team consists of 3 Directors and more than 20 Accountants and admin staff. THE OPPORTUNITY

The firm assists with many aspects of their client’s finances including tax and business accounting, forecasting, business development and strategic planning. In your day-to-day work, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
• Researching income tax matters and providing advice on them.
• Completion of BAS, IAS and FBT returns.
• Applying basic and advanced tax compliance procedures.
• Working closely with Managers and Directors.
• Building strong internal and external relationships.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

• 3-5 years Australian tax and business services experience.
• Experience dealing directly with clients.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Strong team mentality and ability to work closely with peers.
• To have recently completed of currently completing CPA or CA qualification.
• Proficient in the use of Xero tax and accounting software is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting in a public practice role.
• To be working towards your CA or CPA.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
