The Role

We currently have an exciting 6–12 months, contract opportunity for a Finance Specialist to support our Enterprise Finance and Operations team.

The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to execute advanced Financial Reporting and Financial support for the Serenity function to enable effective decision making and achievement of strategic and operational effectiveness goals

To be successful in this role you will have experience in operating and delivering results in a matrix environment and leveraging relationships to influence and drive outcomes. You will be enthusiastic with excellent communication skills, project management skills and confidently negotiate and build relationships

Key Responsibilities

• Provide targeted financial reporting and support to Group projects
• Proactively provide insights on financial performance to key program/project stakeholders
• Supply Financial assistance to the various initiatives and projects across the Group, including scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, project reporting (benefits realisation and costs tracking), business case preparation and targeted financial analysis
• Support the Budgeting, Forecasting & Roll forward analysis process for the Group Project function, ensuring deliverables are prepared in accordance with IAG timetables and requirements
• Build, maintain and influence relationships with key stakeholders across the Group
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate reporting processes

Skills & Experience

• Financial Services expertise required, preferably within Insurance
• Experience in finance and accounting including financial management/reporting, technical accounting knowledge, and business commerciality
• Understanding of business and financial impacts of operational decisions
• Knowledge of finance reporting systems and frameworks
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask, adhere to deadlines and perform under pressure
• Maintenance of complex financial models in a finance environment
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Tertiary qualifications, i.e. Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA/CPA/CIMA qualified
• Relevant professional membership and certifications.
