As a Security Officer Patrol Relief Associate in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and guests. This role blends customer service, communication, and routine patrols with a team-focused culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post orders, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and sharing observations with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report unusual behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to site-specific guidelines.
• Support a professional presence at the location by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and communicating clearly with tenants, customers, and/or local responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
