The Role:

The Education Consultant will provide high-quality education and vocation advice, and transition back to school/kindergarten support to students who are inpatients of the RCH, in partnership with the student’s external school.

Role accountabilities include but are not limited to:

• Identify educational need and support student transition to school/kindergarten, in consultation with families, schools/kindergartens and health professionals;
• Development/coordination of medical/educational support documentation e.g. Medical Advice Forms, Individual Learning Plans, Funding support letters and other relevant documentation in collaboration with families, schools and health professionals;
• Collection of accurate and complete data and information sets, including student profiles, direct and indirect teaching activity and consumer feedback; and
• Participation in an Education Institute Portfolio group and other departmental initiatives e.g. service improvement activities.

Full Time / Fixed Term, until June 30, 2022
