Emile Learning Hiring for High School French Script and Curriculum Writer Job at Remote Full Time

Who We Are:

Emile Learning is an on-demand virtual teaching platform focused on high school classes. Founded in 2020, Emile’s mission is to provide students globally with equal access to for-credit and supplemental high school courses in a virtual environment. Emile is looking to disrupt the typical classroom experience and build a new age of learning. Our curriculum writers play an important role in our students’ experience by designing the learning experience.

Primary Purpose:

This role will be instrumental in helping Emile design students’ learning experience and how content is presented on our online platform. You will be expected to bring your expertise to standards alignment, content assessment, script & lesson outlines, and lab demonstrations/hands on experiential learning as needed. These lesson plans will be used by our production team to film video content, but this role is strictly behind the scenes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• course mapping of units and topics;

• standards alignment, learning goals, and assessments (traditional and performance-based);

• supplemental material and prerequisites that support student learning to meet course goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, Master’s degree preferred OR

• Single Subject Teaching Credential in specific course

• Strong subject matter skills (specialization or certification in U.S. subject preferred; College Board training preferred)

• Teaching or tutoring experience in specific course

• Curriculum design and development

• Excellent verbal and written English skills

• Proficient in Google Apps and modern business tools, communication tools, presentation tools for virtual teams (Zoom, Google Meet).

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
