This role is to ensure appropriate financial support, reporting and analysis is provided to the Operations division of the Australian Business. The role requires the ongoing development & implementation of business process improvement for the Product Execution & Operations divisions.
Job Responsibilities
Takes full responsibility for the monthly reporting of financial results for the relevant business area revenue streams.
Preparation of percentage of completion calculations on a monthly basis and provide project and profitability analysis on sales.
Preparation of monthly reporting pack including KPI’s.
Reporting of results and other specified data into Hyperion on a monthly basis.
Ensures manufacturing costings and variances are investigated and updated as necessary.
Prepares annual budget and quarterly estimates.
Actively manages Net Working Capital for the division.
Involved in project tendering from a costing perspective.
Maintains strong relationships with management team.
Ensuring the correct classification and authorisation of expenditure;
Ensuring accounts meet all accounting standards;
Liaison with external agencies (e.g. auditors);
Any other duties as reasonably directed by your Supervisor
What you bring
Bachelor of Business/Accounting with 7-10 years’ practical experience in relevant roles and discipline.
CA/CPA qualified
Excellent commercial and financial understanding.
Manufacturing Accounting experience.
Must be commercially focused and able to work with a broad range of people.
Proven negotiation and influencing skills.
Cost and margin conscious.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Takes Initiative and is proactive
Ability to work in a team or individually on multiple concurrent projects.
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to work with customers, contractors and other personnel on a daily basis
Strong customer service skills
Computer experience using standard MS Office suite of programs is required
Experienced utilizing ERP database systems i.e. Pronto, SAP or similar systems.
Good organization, multitasking and time management skills that delivers effective planning and housekeeping standards.
