Islington Council Hiring for Finance Officer Job at London, England Full Time

We are seeking a self-motivated finance professional who is looking for a challenging role and to further develop their skills. The post will report to the Principal Accountant (Revenue) – duties of this post will include:

• Help maintain integrity of the General ledger, which includes reviewing and clearing suspense accounts.
• Administering recharging of utility bills to departments
• Preparing and publishing quarterly spend of at least £500 made by the Council on the main website.
• Setting up and maintaining of periodic payments on finance system
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to progress any issues, queries or concerns.
• Supporting the Revenue Principal Accountant and the rest of the team as required.
• Offer support at year-end towards the completion of the statutory accounts.
• You will also require a good working knowledge of Microsoft products including Teams, Excel and Word.
