· Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
· Oversees daily operations and staff of the accounting department and procurement department
· Maintains staff job results by teaching, counseling, disciplining, monitoring, and reviewing performance
· Prepare financial statements by the 15th of the following month
· Maintain and oversee ERP and related IT systems for ensuring that our network is functioning and that we have back up and contingency plans in place.
· Evaluate and maintain our system our accounting controls to protect company assets
· Audit areas to ensure compliance with policies
· Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
· Negotiate the best rates (credit cards, bank rates, etc.) with vendors – domestically and internationally
· Implement and maintain procedures for doing business internationally
· Analyze and provide input to management on financial statements and departmental profitability
· Recommend benchmarks for monitoring financial and operating performance for the company and departmentally
· Provide departmental managers with information to evaluate their areas and suggest benchmarks and goals
· Create/manage the annual budget and monitor and analyze performance
· Create a schedule for necessary capital expenditures
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
· Establish short- and long-range departmental goal, objectives, policies, and operating procedures along with a plan to achieve those goals
· Assist departments in creation of reports (sales, inventory, customer, etc…) as needed and train the departments how to use the reports
· Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
· Responsible for the management and oversight of the procurement department ensuring that we have on-time delivery and ample stock on imported gift items
· Implement system (Monday) to manage purchase orders and track from placement to receipt
· Responsible for all item costing/analysis, master product log maintenance, and chargeback management
· Create and maintain accurate inventory reports ensuring on time delivery
