Market Square Education (MSE), a local, online provider, is serving students, parents, schools, and districts, across Washington. We have a growing need for teachers in all grade levels and subjects K-12. Even current, full-time teachers are encouraged to apply. Some of our teachers juggle their teaching day job with online teaching and find the online sustainable and interesting.

· Curriculum is entirely provided by MSE.

· Teachers use their skills and resources to increase student understanding and success.

• Flexible schedule allowing teachers to define work hours.

Job details

Salary: $25 – $30 an hour. May qualify for matching retirement allocation

Job Type: Remote. Part-time. Potentially can lead to fulltime

• Minimum: Bachelor’s (Required)
• Washington State Teaching Certificate (Required)
• Success in working with a diversity of students, temperaments, stories from highly motivated to those that are just holding onto a little hope.

Full Job Description

Responsibilities of an Online Teacher

• Grading homework assignments
• Corresponding with students
• Providing student feedback and answering questions
• Keeping office hours.
• For some teachers, weekly/monthly reporting is required

Time Commitment

· MSE teachers range from a few hours per week to full-time depending upon availability and the number of students in a teacher’s courses.

· Responsive to student communication within 24 hrs. Grading assignment within 3 days. Up to 4 hours of Office Hours per week depending on caseload.

About Market Square Education

Private school, nationally accredited, that provides options for private education and another option for publicly funded alternative learning opportunities for students in partnership with Washington State schools districts.

We serve students kindergarten through twelfth grade including students who need extra support to those who wish to accelerate.
