Where you’ll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you’ll be doing
The Finance Business partner role is expected to:
- Influence and support divisional and departmental managers of a portfolio of services to achieve the desired financial outcomes of the organization. This includes planning, implementing and monitoring of governance structures to control and manage the use of financial resources and budgets.
- As an integral member of the divisional management team, bring key financial and commercial insights to the decision making process and be seen as an authority on financial matters for the divisions.
- Work closely with the Director Finance & Performance and the Senior Finance Business Partner to ensure alignment of the relevant portfolio to strategic facility and LHD intentions.

Selection Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, business or accounting or extensive equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of experience in financial or business management.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills that support the primary business function of a large organisation.
- Demonstrated high level analytical skills using financial, statistical, human resources and management data systems to pro-actively improve business performance.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, marketing and customer service skills applicable in both a technical and business context.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in using financial computer systems such as Oracle as well as high level computer skills in PC based applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
- Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills, proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both within and team environment and independently.
