Position Overview:
General Description
 

The Lease Accounting Specialist position will assist the Director of Lease Accounting and Workforce Management in ensuring all landlord charges are properly received, accounted for, and paid.
 

Performance requirements
 
Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure landlord charges are properly maintained in Lucernex
• Work closely with Real Estate, Legal, and Accounts Payable teams ensuring landlord charges are accurately managed
• Ensure rent batches are processed timely and accurately
• Assist legal and real estate with research on questions and issues regarding landlord charges
• Become an expert in the lease accounting application (i.e. Lucernex)
• Process landlord vendor mail
• Support Senior Lease Accounting Analyst with ad hoc requests as needed
• Assist with month end closing process
• Prepare month end reconciliations
• Support and gather information related to 3rd party lease audits
• Ensure critical dates management in Lucernex
   

Work Experience and education requirements

• Associate or B.A. in Accounting or Finance preferred; or equivalent experience.
• Ideal candidate has 1-3 years of accounts payable or similar experience.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, listening, follow-up
• Excellent inquriy and analytical skills; strategic thinker
• Strong sense of fiscal responsibility
• Ability to work well in a team setting
• Strong PC skills
