What we are looking for:

We are seeking an exceptional C++ Developer with a proven track record of building customer facing software. As a member of the Engineering team, you will work closely with the Product and Design teams to not only develop, but also help define and execute projects. Strong communication skills and a desire to be involved in all aspects of the project life cycle are a must.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Design and code software for our core software platform system, working alongside a strong team that focuses day to day on evolving and integrating the deep code ecosystem so that it performs optimally for our customers.
• Assist our specialist support team in identifying and mitigating issues that arise in complex deployment scenarios.
• Work with product management to plan, prioritize, and develop improvements to our core platform codebase, including integration with cloud services.
• Work as a helpful, inspired team member of a tight core platform team.

Requirements:

• A computer science degree (or equivalent experience) plus 3 years of experience developing software using C++.
• A strong understanding of inheritance, operators, pointers, object lifecycle, type conversion/coercion, templates, and object-oriented programming and design (including SOLID). Microsoft platform, 32-bit and 64-bit C++.
• Experience with other OO languages (C#, Ruby) and functional programming (Erlang) is a plus.
• Understanding of unit testing frameworks and their value.
• A strong desire to learn and develop skills with a helpful, curious, team-focused personality.
