THIS POSITION IS ON-SITE – NO REMOTE

Develops and implements health education programs for providers and members. Monitors Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements relating to CLAS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Develop health education curricula.

2. Develop member health education brochures/fliers. Send flyers for classes.

3. Assists with the development of policies and procedures, program plans and work plans.

4. Maintain accurate tracking of health education classes and submits quarterly reports.

5. Implement in-services training and assist providers to be compliance with HE requirements.

6. Coordinate and/or implement training sessions to employees and providers.

7. Prepare health education correspondence.

8. Work collaboratively with internal departments.

9. Follow-up on provider health education requests.

10. Coordinate translation process within departments and external agency.

11. Acts as a resource to providers and/or members for Health Education and Cultural and Linguistics information.

12. Assist members in scheduling health education classes

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

· High school graduate or equivalent.

· Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Services Administration, Sociology, or Health Education

· 2 years experience working with Community Based Organizations, Public Health Agencies, and/or providing health education training

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY:

· Ability to communicate effectively in order to provide training for members and provider network

· Knowledge of managed care desirable
