The Role:
As a GenMed, Tax/Treasury graduate you will support the Finance Business Partners (FBPs) in General Medicine Business Unit, Tax and Treasury teams within Sanofi’s broader Finance team. During this time, you will play an important role in the production of management reports, business planning, business analytics and process improvement for General Medicines BU and meeting Sanofi’s compliance obligations such as tax returns and business activity statements as well as involvement in strategic tax, treasury and relevant improvement projects.
GenMed– what will you be doing?
Business Partnering;

Assist with the production and analysis of monthly management reports such as Sales reports and P&L
-
Assist with the production, analysis, commentary and presentation of monthly cost centre reports
-
Documenting and together with the finance team, work on implementing continuous improvement projects
-
Ad hoc projects
Business planning;
-
Assist with preparation, analysis and reporting of business plan (F1, F2, Budget and LRP)
Business Insights and Analysis;

Assist the team with Business Intelligence projects
-
Assist with analysing financial scenarios to support informed decision making by Leadership Team
-
Generate new insights to assist decision making for the commercial managers and the Leadership Team
Tax – what will you be doing?
-
Assisting with the preparation of income tax returns, Business Activity Statements and Fringe Benefits Tax returns.

Adapting and evolving our direct and indirect tax strategy in order to optimise efficiency in processes.

Assisting with the documentation of tax governance frameworks.
-
Liaising with government bodies (e.g. ATO, ASIC, OSR) for tax related matters.
Treasury – what will you be doing?
-
Assisting with the preparation of weekly cash forecasts.
-
Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly treasury reports.
-
Maintain effective communication between broader finance team, internal departments and key stakeholders.

Assisting with the documentation and update of Treasury policies and procedures in-line with Sanofi’s and regulatory requirements.

Supporting the preparation of Ad-hoc Treasury projects.
We’re looking for graduates who:
-
Have completed an undergraduate degree in the areas of Commerce or Business, preferably majoring in Accounting from a recognized tertiary institution by December 2021 or have completed your relevant university qualification within the past 2 years (since December 2019).

Have a passion for Commerce and Business, and a genuine interest in a career in Tax/Treasury.

Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of taxation legislation will be highly regarded

Possess strong numeracy and analytical skills

Are driven and curious about uncovering insights

Have strong attention to detail

Are proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint
-
Demonstrate good communications and interpersonal skills

Are proactive and motivated to developing into a true business partner

Are eager to develop themselves and will take ownership of their role
