CoEnergy Propane, LLC (CEP) is engaged in the sale and distribution of propane and appliances to customers in the central Oregon, the Willamette Valley, and the Oregon coast. The company is a community-based organization serving these communities since 2001. It is an affiliate of Central Electric Cooperative in Central Oregon and Casco Communications in the Mid-Willamette Valley. Casco Communications is locally owned by Consumer Power, Inc. CEP is headquartered in Redmond, Oregon with a branch in Albany, Oregon.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate must demonstrate advanced and proven skills and in-depth knowledge in all levels of finance, accounting and related software, strategic planning, financial auditing and reporting, communications, compliance with standard accounting practices, budgeting, supervision, and financial operational and project management. The candidate also must exhibit the ability to think strategically and portray an understanding of the position’s working partnership with the President of the company. In addition, appreciation of and respect for other cultures is crucial to success in this position.
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance plus 7 or more years of managerial experience in accounting and finance is required. A CPA degree and experience in the energy industry is a plus. Must maintain a valid Oregon driver’s licenseand meet insurability standards of CEP’s auto insurance carrier.
Location and Timing
CoEnergy Propane is headquartered in Redmond, Oregon. Redmond is a mid-sized community nestled in Oregon’s High Desert Plateau just east of the Cascade Mountain Range in Central Oregon. The

The Position
The position is located in Redmond, Oregon. The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations and financial planning of the company.
CEP’s strategic plan focuses on aggressive growth and envisions this position being a path to becoming its CFO.
Essential Duties:
· Directs, controls, and coordinates development of operating and capital budgets, maintains banking relationships, and produces financial forecasts for strategic planning.
· Ensures the safeguarding of all CEP assets including, but not limited to the physical assets of CEP.
· Directs the certification of financial results and serves as the principal contact with CEP’s auditors.
· Coordinates and facilitates consultation with others to define financial support for CEP’s business requirements.
· Under the direction of the President/CEO presents financial results to the Board of Directors.
· Provide necessary financial and tax planning in conjunction with the company’s auditing firm.
· Responsible for risk management and securing appropriate levels of business insurance.
· Actively interfaces with customers on credit, higher level financial transactions and other business-related matters.
· Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
· Establishes and maintains appropriate analytical tools, information systems, and models of cost behavior to ensure effective and efficient management of resources.
· Prescribes limits of authority among company personnel regarding policies and expenditures.
· Analyzes operating results of business and branch operations versus approved plans and objectives.
· Reviews working capital/cash flow requirements on a regular basis.
· Presents operating and capital expenditure budgets and working capital/cash flow analyses for review and approval by the President.
· Assists President in the development of financial strategies and strategic objectives as well as operating policies and procedures to ensure attainment of CEP’s business objectives.
· Ensures that finance plans and policies are understood, administered complied with by CEP’s management team and personnel.
· Maintains accountability at all times by remaining in frequent contact with the President.
· Exhibits and promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement throughout the company.
· Builds and maintains external business partner relationships in collaboration with the President.
· Maintains absolute credibility with all stakeholders.
· Builds and maintains respect with all levels of the organization.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
